I am deeply honoured to share that I have received the 2024–2025 Minister’s Seniors Service Award from the Government of Alberta.![]()
Over the past year, I’ve been proud to help expand Opening Minds through Art (OMA) across Alberta — a creative, dignity-driven program that continues to show how compassion and creative engagement can transform lives, spark joy, and nurture meaningful connections.![]()
This recognition is not mine alone. It reflects the dedication of our incredible team at Aruga Home Care, as well as my collaboration with the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University nursing faculty, students, and the wonderful seniors and staff at Club 36 whom I was privileged to serve.![]()
My deepest gratitude also goes to Elizabeth Lokon and the team at the Miami University Scripps Gerontology Center for their support and wonderful collaboration in bringing OMA to more communities.![]()
Finally, my heartfelt thanks to our clients, their families, and our community partners for trusting us on this journey. Together, we are building a future where seniors live with dignity, joy, and connection.
