Canadian HS Student received award for OMA work
Art is opening minds and bringing generations together in Kitchener, Canada, thanks to the dedication and passion of students, teachers and facilitators. The efforts of Lillian Hyatt, a Grade 9 Forest Heights Collegiate Institute student, in particular, have garnered special attention. At the 22nd Annual Kitchener Youth Action Council Awards, Hyatt won the Intergenerational Award for demonstrating a commitment to the belief that generations can and should be united for her work with the Opening Minds through Art (OMA) program at Trinity Village Care Centre.
