Angie Allen, MFA (Virginia, USA) Born and raised in Richmond, VA, Angie earned a BA in Studio Art from The University of Maryland, College Park, and a MFA in Painting from Pratt Institute. After teaching, directing a program for lifelong learning, and working in admissions at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts for the past 14 years, Angie shifted her career to focus on impacting lives through art and the community. At Art for the Journey, Angie is the OMA Program Assistant Director. She paints primarily with watercolor and pulls from its historical references but aims to add a contemporary and current response.
