2.3 Color Theory

Before sending you off to design your own original OMA art project using the 9 principles you learned, there is one more thing that you need to know, color theory. This video on color theory teaches you what happens when you mix certain colors together. This is important because you want to provide OMA participants with color options that will work well when mixed.

IMPORTANT: While the video shows the benefit of adding a complementary color to tone down a color, in OMA we avoid serving complementary colors because they tend to create muddy brown. This is not an issue if one color is dry before adding its complementary color.
